West Of Scotland Death – The Police Scotland have confirmed the death of a 12-year-old girl who was found dead in the west of Scotland on Sunday, August 9.
The police reports that at 6.45 p.m on Saturday, they were called to a possible drowning of a girl who is having difficulty in the River Leven, near Balloch Bridge, West Dunbartonshire.

Police statement revealed that the “Emergency services attended and searches were carried out around 9.45pm, the young girl was recovered from the water.”
“Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The search was conducted by the West Dunbartonshire Police, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The public have been told to avoid the area.
Her identity is yet to be released by the police, but her family have been informed of her death.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident, but the death is not being treated as suspicious and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal,” Police Scotland says.
