Hodge Road Death – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol has released the identity of two drivers that died after a deadly car collision on Tuesday, July 21, on Interstate 87 near the Hodge Road exit as 19-year-old Tre’shon Pope and 26-year-old Yameer Greene, of Knightdale.

The footage from Chopper11 HD showed a badly burned sedan on the right side of the road and another vehicle damaged in the far left lane.

NCSHP said the driver of a Honda Accord was speeding in the southbound lane of the highway and crossed over the median, colliding with a Dodge Dart.

The Accord caught fire killing the driver, Pope and his passenger whose identity is yet to be release.

The driver of the Dodge Dart, Greene, of Knightdale, also died in the crash.

The highway was closed for four hours and reopened around 2:30 p.m. by the police.
