Maximillian W. Halterman Death – As the state Police keeps investigating the death of a 23-year-old Maximillian W. Halterman who died in a log cabin-style home on Davis Road across from McCullough Campground in Oakland Township, bits of details about their investigation has been released.
Halterman’s death is being investigated as homicide. The victim as at when he was found suffered a single gunshot to his upper right shoulder.

The police was called alongside the East Butler Ambulance, to Halterman’s home around 7:15am for a report of a man been shot.
Halterman was pronounced dead at scene and an autopsy planned for 4.pm Wednesday, June 25,
According to the investigators, it is believed that the deceased died of a gunshot wound which occurred overnight. The Police got a search warrant for his home and property, as well as any available security video that could aid the investigation.
Wednesday morning, as Halterman’s friends gathered at the intersection of Route 68 and Davis Road awaiting the authorities, his mother was also seen and heard grieving for her loss.
An anonymous lady said, “He had a good heart,” the woman said through tears. “It was his personality. He was just bubbly. This is crazy, just crazy.”
No one has been arrested as a suspect.
