Lake Michigan Death – A 30-year-old man from Chicago was confirmed dead on Monday after he was being pulled from Lake Michigan at Clark Street Beach in Evaston, says the authorities.
Evanston police reports that around 8:30 pm, they responded to a call on Clark Street Beach on a drowning man.
Upon arrival, the crowd was cleared and it was noticed that a good bystander at the beach had already attempted to rescue the victim. They were both pulled out to the shore by life guards and officials.
CPR and other life saving efforts were made on the Chicago man before he was taken to the hospital, says the police.
He was later pronounced dead in the hospital.
Further detail about the victim is yet to be released by the police as investigation is ongoing.
