Cyclist Collision In Chicago Injures Victim – On Saturday, the Wauconda Fire District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 8:11 p.m to the 600 block of Rawson Bridge Road in Port Barrington for a single-vehicle crash, involving a 39-year-old man.

It was reported that the man was riding his motorcycle and lost control of it which crashed into a guardrail.

Sandra Rogers, McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy says the 2011 Yamaha Stryker motorcycle was riding westbound on Rawson Bridge Road when the driver failed to navigate the curve near the Broken Oar Bar and Grill resulting to his crash into the guardrail.

Paramedics responded immediately to the cyclist who was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. He is currently not under any life threatening injuries.

Rogers commented that it is unknown if speed was the factor but that drugs and alcohol were not considered to be.

Investigation is ongoing as to what led to the crash by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
