Lake Namakagon Death – The death of a man identified as 44-year-old who drowned on Lake Namakagon on Saturday, August 8, has been confirmed by the authorities.
According to official report, the man was found dead in the water after a search for him.

The Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call after 7.00 p.m on Saturday, on a report of a man who had jumped off a pontoon boat on the lake to have a swim and had gone underwater.
Private boats in the area conducted initial search before the the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Namakagon Fire Department and Sawyer County Dive Team came onboard. the search for him was futile.
His body was later found by the divers from Sawyer County at 10:10 p.m.
His full identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The incident is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
