47 Year Old Man Found Dead – At about 7.15am on Friday, a body was found near Rangebank Primary School.
The police identified the body as a 47-year-old man from Cranbourne East.
The sight sparked a homicide investigation, although then precise circumstances have not been known, it is believed that the death is suspicious.

His remains was spotted by passers-by at Lesdon Avenue in Cranbourne’s Donnelly Recreational Reserve, opposite the Rangebank Primary School, and as such the school was closed after a request from Victoria Police as stated “Please note that due to a serious incident near Rangebank PS, ALL classes will be cancelled for today. The school will be in touch. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
The Department of Education spokeswoman stated that “The school is working with families to manage any disruption this may cause,”
“We know that hearing about incidents like this can be traumatic for young students and the department is working closely with the school to ensure support is provided for anyone who needs it.”
Investigators are appealing for cam footage from the area over the past 24hours ad will also want to talk to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area on Thursday night.
