Lake Huron Death –The sad demise of a 5-year-old boy has been confirmed by the authorities.
According to Sheriff Dale Clarmont, the incident happened in Cheboygan County on Sunday evening, when the 5-year-old boy was being towed in a tube and eventually fell overboard.

Clarmont stated that the child was not wearing a life jacket.
The search for the boy started by a bystander and he was later found 10 feet under water and was pulled to the shore. He was airlifted from Duncan Bay on Lake Huron to Motts Children’s Hospital in Washtenaw County where he was later pronounced dead on early Monday August 10.
According to Clarmont, “We are deeply saddened by the events of Sunday with the community needlessly losing a 5-year-old boy. Michigan Law is clear a child that age must wear a life jacket anytime they are on this type of boat or being towed on a tube on Michigan waters.”
The investigation is still ongoing, says Sheriff Clarmont.
