Obituary-Funeral: Kelly Barbara Schmidtbauer, a 36-year-old woman has passed away. She was died in a crash that occurred on Friday morning, October 25, east of Brainerd.
The vehicle accident happened between a van and semitractor at 7:52 a.m. at the intersection of Crow Wing Count Highway 2 and Highway 25. Schmidtbauer was driving a Dodge Caravan north on Highway 25 when it struck a Kenworth truck traveling east on County Highway 2.
The driver of the truck, 59-year-old Brent L. Chase of Staples, failed to yield at the intersection, according to the state patrol.
