Jamarion Jones, as identified by MCSO, a 14-year-old boy has been “accidentally” shot and killed on Sunday evening by a 17-year-old boyfriend.
Jones was shot dead on Sunday evening in Indiantown, According to officials, the tragedy occurred right inside a home in the 14000 block of SW 172nd Avenue at about 5:30 p.m.
The shooter’s won’t be mentioned here because of his age but he is currently facing a charge of aggravated manslaughter of a child.
According to report, the teenage shooter initially denied being involved and claimed “unknown and unseen gunman shot Jimarion from the hallway outside his bedroom.”
The story later changed to being the one involved in the shooting but it was an accident. Detectives said the 17-year-old “admitted that he had accidentally shot Jimarion while ‘dancing with’ the gun.”
The teen said he was messing around with the weapon and “ultimately his ‘finger slipped’ causing the gun to discharge a single round which struck Jimarion in the torso,” according to the arrest report.
