13 year-old Joey Burdiak of Yorkville has died in a motor vehicle accident in IL Route 71 near his home, the crash happened when a pickup truck crossed the center lane and sideswiped the car where Joey was a passenger which made it to spin out of control and strike the guardrail.
The friends and relations of the deceased have so far, taken to different social media timeline to post tributes and condolences the Burdiak’s family.
The 54 year-old driver identified as Joey’s father sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the pickup did not suffer any injury.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for Burdiak funeral and burial. According to the page, “Anyone who knew Joey, knew he was kind, sweet, funny and had that silly grin. He was an avid Mine Craft player and was best friends, with his older sister, Kelcie. Our family is in shock and cannot imagine a day without our, Joey or JoJo as his mom, Tammy called him.”
