Julio Cesar Costa Death | Obituary

Big Star Cleaning owner, Julio Cesar, a 45-year-old Malden man was found dead inside a freezer by workers at Channel Fish Processing in Braintree.

Cesar’s body was found early Thursday. The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office said Cesar was found “unresponsive” in a commercial freezer just after midnight.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A representative from Channel Fish Processing Company did not identify the victim but said he was the owner of Big Star Cleaning of Everett.

“We are profoundly saddened by this tragedy, and extend our deepest sympathy to the man’s family, friends and co-workers at Big Star Cleaning,” Chief Executive Officer of Channel Fish Processing Company Roy Zaffiro said in a statement. “Channel Fish, which has been in business since 1985, is devoted to safety at all times, and is conducting its own investigation.”

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, state and local police are investigating.
