Joseph Matthew Johnson missing – Search ongoing for a missing boater from Carolina Beach
The safety of Joseph Matthew Johnson, a 44-year-old Carolina Beach Boater, is being threatened as he has been reported missing, and search for him has not been successful so far. The Carolina Beach Police Department are appealing for help from the public to find the missing man. There is increasing concern for Johnson, and your help will be greatly appreciated.
Police say Johnson was last seen on Monday, November 22, around 11 a.m. leaving from Federal Point Yacht Club marina. Apparently the missing man had gone fishing earlier but did not return, as he was last seen on his 19 foot center console Seacraft fishing boat. As investigations go on, police discovered that he is known to frequently fish offshore, especially the area around the Frying Pan Shoals. We are joining the police to plead with the public to help keep an eye on the missing man.
Johnson had reportedly made plans with his friend to go fishing but did not show up. After his friend had waited for a while and didn’t see him, he became worried and reported him missing on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
