The suspect of the shooting was identified as Patrick McDowell. Report says 27-year-old Breiana Tole has been arrested and is in jail at Nassau County. A Nassau County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson says Tole tried to help Patrick McDowell while he was on the run by “removing him from the area.

On Friday, September 24th, in Nassau County, Florida, a man shot Nassau County Deputy Joshua Moyers during a traffic stop. After hiding and lying in wait for officers to attempt to apprehend him, the gunman ambushed them and shot K9 Chaos of the Jacksonville County Sheriff’s Office. Officers were forced to retreat, and a five-day manhunt ensued. Yesterday afternoon, the suspect was successfully apprehended and cuffed with Deputy Moyers’ handcuffs.
Tragically, Deputy Moyers succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, September 26th. In a final act of heroism, his organs went on to save the lives of five people in need. A true hero who lived and died to protect his community.
K9 Chaos is expected to make a full recovery after being shot twice. Thanks to a recent Florida Senate bill passed this summer an ambulance was able to transport him from the scene to an emergency veterinary clinic while rendering life-saving first aid along the way. We are extremely thankful for the first responders and vets who saved K9 Chaos’ life.

After a 5-day manhunt, law enforcement has captured the cop killer who shot and killed @NCSO_FL Deputy Joshua Moyers during a traffic stop.
