Kieran Finn Death – Obituary, Funeral, Cause Of Death

Today the club and our wider community are shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic passing of our former player, supporter and friend Kieran Finn. Kieran, a native of Knockbeg, Collooney, first played for his local clubs Collooney / Ballisodare and Owenmore Gaels before moving to Ballintogher, and over the best part of two decades, Kieran served firstly the Ballintogher club and subsequently St. Michaels with distinction, lining out at left half back. Kieran was a solid, tenacious wing back who always gave 100% to the cause.

His finest moment in a green jersey was the 1992 junior championship victory over Tubbercurry, which was St. Michaels first county trophy. Towards the end of his career came a proud moment for Kieran and his wife Mary, herself a hardworking servant to the club, when Kieran was joined on the panel by his son Mickey, who himself would give many long years service to the club at full back.

Outside of football everyone will remember Kieran’s sense of humour, his trojan efforts to help others, no more so than his numerous successful fundraising efforts over the years. The club wish to extend its sympathies to his wife, our club colleague Mary, his son Mickey, daughter Karen, daughter in law Siobhan, son in law Paul, grandchildren Shane, Olivia, Kiera and to the extended Finn and Burns families. Through a social media announcement, DeadDeath learned on August 2nd, 2021, about the death of Kieran Finn who has died. In the mourning spirit of this death, families, friends, and associates of the deceased share their sad news across social media timelines.

It is really a difficult time for the beloved ones of Kieran whose passing has brought so much tears to.
