Donald C. Wetzel, born January 3, 1929 was an American businessman known for holding the USA patent to the automatic teller machine. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana he graduated from Jesuit High School in 1947 and got a B.Sc. in foreign trade from Loyola University New Orleans
JPMorgan Chase of recent, celebrated and honored Wetzel during the invention’s half-century anniversary with a ceremony outside the former Chemical branch and invited the ATM’s 93-year-old inventor.
