Tucson comedian and ad executive, Jay Taylor has died.
He passed away at the age of 81, on Monday December 2, 2019 at a Northwest Medical Center. He was supposed to perform Saturday, Dec. 7, with Fitzsimmons and several other Tucson comedians in Fitzsimmons’ annual Arroyo Cafe Holiday Radio Show, a 90-minute variety show that raises money for local charities.
Taylor was taken to hospital where he had undergone surgery in November, due to problems with difficulty in breathing, according to his grandson, Scott Wilson.

Jay diagnosed with pneumonia, according to an email Taylor sent to his friend and fellow comedian, Arizona Daily Star cartoonist David Fitzsimmons.
