Anthony Myers has passed away. He died on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the age of 17.
Anthony was diagnosed with stage-3 cancer in October 2018. He Berks County student-athlete.
The football and hockey star later had to undergo surgery, along with a series of treatments. Even in the midst of struggle, however, his teammates said Anthony never lost hope.
The school announced Myers’ death Wednesday night.
“It is with great profound sadness that I write this letter to let you know that Anthony Myers, a member of the Berks Catholic Junior class, passed away at his home today, December 4, after a yearlong battle with cancer,” principal Alice Einolf wrote. “Our condolences, thoughts, and most especially prayers go out to his family and friends.”

Anthony Myers was not only a great athlete, he was a great person. He was an extremely hard worker and a class act. A high character person. He will be missed.
