Meredith Lowell Pleaded Not Guilty:
35-year-old Meredith Lowell who was accused of stabbing a guest in Cleveland Heights church pleaded not guilty at Friday, December 6, 2019 hearing.
Lowell was indicted on several charges, including attempted murder and aggravated burglary.
Cleveland Heights police said Lowell entered the Fairmount Presbyterian Church on Nov. 20 and stabbed a woman in the arm with a kitchen knife.
Lowell reportedly targeted the victim because of her boots, which turned out to have faux fur on them instead of real fur. There were prior conversation nor interaction between Lowell and the victim, according to police.
Meredith Lowell has been asked to stay away from the victim and the Farmount Presbyterian Church, which report says she lives close to.
Lowell was believed to have history of violent animal activism. Her bond was reduced from $1 million to $250,000, and the case has been adjourned till December 16.
