Supposedly, his death was related to Parkinson’s disease.
Golly he was a master actor. A huge inspiration and influence to many others, including myself.
I will always remember him as the lovable Bilbo Baggins, and Zerah from Jesus of Narareth.#RIPSirIanHolm

RIP Ian Holms. While everyone of us will remember you as Old Bilbo Baggins during my pre-teen years, you’ll always be Skinner from Ratatouille from my childhood. pic.twitter.com/0YQngcF7rF

“No, the journey doesn’t end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it….. White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise”

To Sir Ian Holm, thank you for helping to bring one of Middle Earth’s most beloved hobbits to life for two generations. I may have been late to the Tolkien game, but your portrayal of Bilbo Baggins will always be remembered. RIP dear sir. pic.twitter.com/lnX0eka2iC
