Dana Mazola Death | Obituary – 56-year-old Salem Police officer has died in a fatal car accident that happened late Thursday, June 25, 2020, the department said.
Dana Mazola passed away in a two-vehicle accident that took place on Jefferson Avenue in Salem, at about 11:20 p.m.

Mazola was transported to Salem Hospital along with the other driver of the vehicle that was involved in the crash. While the other driver is reportedly with unknown condition, Mazola was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The cause of the accident that led to the passing of Mazola is unknown, investigation by Massachusetts State Police will give insight into the cause of the crash.
It is unclear what lead up to the crash. Massachusetts State Police will help with the investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time. Neither speed, alcohol nor drug was said to have played a role in the accident.
