Chariel Osorio Death | Obituary – A 17-year-old man has died after being shot at an annual party “Rye Day,” Saturday, June 20, 2020, Syracuse police said.
Chariel Osorio passed away following a shooting that took place at an outdoor gathering called “Rye Day.” The gathering witnessed hundreds of attendant at a square near the WCNY building. DJ was present at the event and people were having fun, enjoying music, cookout and festivities when the shooting occurred.
The event was scheduled to end at 9 p.m., but 15 minutes to the end of what would have been a successful event turned into a nightmare. DJ abruptly stopped the music, the witness said. Then he heard at least 12 shots and people scattered.
Osorio and several others were victims of the shooting.
