Betty Ann Thuis Death | Betty Ann Thuis Obituary – An active member of the North Knox Social Ministries, Delta Theta Tau, and a former Brownie leader Betty Ann Thuis has been confirmed dead. Betty was born on Oct. 1, 1928 in Bicknell. Betty retired after over 20 years with Stemming Jewelers in Bicknell and formerly worked at Crane.

She worshipped at Bicknell First Baptist Church. She formerly served for over 30 years as secretary/sexton of the Edwardsport IOOF Cemetery and was voted Bicknell’s Woman of the Year. Betty Ann died at age 91 at her residence with her family at her bedside.

She loved kids and was always looking forward to any activity her children, grandchildren and any child she may have known was involved in. Her home had an open door policy for any child in need. She had many nieces that she took care of and tried to help raise. The cause of death was not stated.
