Jerry Dugan Death | Jerry Dugan Obituary – Legendary high school basketball coach Jerry Dugan has passed away. Jerry Dugan died at the age of 81 on Tuesday, 30th of June 2020. In 1967, Jerry coached Hazel Green to a state championship in 1967 and did the same at Lee a year later. Jerry had strong ties to the Tennessee Valley.
Jerry is the only basketball coach in the history of the AHSAA to win consecutive state championships in different classifications and his aggregate record as a coach was 617-332. Dugan was put in the Huntsville-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame in 1989. The cause of death was not stated.
