Anthony Michael Lara Car Accident:
32-year-old Anthony Michael Lara has died Sunday, December 25, 2019 following a a fatal three-vehicle crash that happened at the intersection of Southeast Port St. Lucie Boulevard and Southeast Tunis Avenue.
The accident occurred Sunday morning. Anthony Lara who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Michiah Lee Jackson, a 25-year-old from Alabama has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter for the fatal three-vehicle crash.
A 61-year-old male, whose name is currently unknown, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation showed that the driver in a 2014 Kia Sol with Lara in the passenger seat were stopped at a red light on Southeast Tunis Avenue when Jackson failed to slow down and rear-ended them in his 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The force of the impact then pushed the Kia Sol into the intersection, hitting the driver’s side of a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta stopped northbound for a red light on Port St. Lucie Boulevard.
Authorities from Port St. Lucie Police Department are investigating this crash.
