Marie Bernard Passed Away | Cause Of Death:
Marie E. Bernard died December 13, 2019 following a ghastly vehicle crash that occurred at south of Simmesport, according to Troopers.
Marie E. Bernard passed away Friday at about 4:05 p.m in accident. She passed on at the age of 76, according to report.
Bernard was traveling northbound on Hwy 105 in a 2005 Ford truck as a passenger, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and left the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and swerved off the left side of the road, the vehicle then crashed into a culvert and overturned. Bernard was not putting on seatbelt during the collision, according to police.
Marie was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to report.
Robert A. Dupre of Opelousas, the 53-year-old driver of the vehicle had been charged with careless operation and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
