RIP Ennio Morricone
My favourite film composer & although he was responsible for many superb scores outside his work with Sergio Leone it is still his thrilling, unique & beautiful music for him that I love the most. It blew my mind to find out they were both at school together. pic.twitter.com/jZmWPHaitJ— Tom Reagan’s Hat (@RufusTSuperfly) July 6, 2020
Choosing a favourite Ennio Morricone soundtrack is near impossible but I can never go past his sublime score for The Battle of Algiers (1966). Elevates a truely great film to somewhere else. A cinematic legend gone. RIP Maestro

If there was no Ennio, there’d be no Man with No Name, no Tuco, no Angel Eyes, and no spaghetti westerns. I hope that in a parallel universe, I am a gunslinger with my theme music scored by Ennio Morricone. That would truly be epic. RIP
