Trooper Injured In Deadly Crash – According to the authorities, a trooper was injured in a head-on that happened same place an earlier crash occurred on Saturday morning.
The crash occurred on Saturday, July 4th just after 8:30am, on I-485 Outer Loop.

Trooper Adolfo A. Lopez-Alcedo was investigating the earlier crash that took the lives of five people on the interstate when a passenger vehicle crashed him into a patrol vehicle when he was trying to shut down 1-485 Outer Loop
The trooper was immediately taken to the hospital and is under life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and being handled by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
