Milnerton Oil Refinery Explosion | 2 Dies – Obituary – On Thursday, 2nd of July 2020, an explosion occurred at an oil refinery in Milnerton which claimed the life of two people. The two people has been identified as 32 years old Mpilo Sibiya and 27 years old Likhona Vece.
They were killed and seven others injured in the fire that raged for hours at the Astron Energy plant from about 4am. According to the post made by Daily Voice on the 5th of July 2020, Astron Energy CEO Jonathan Molapo said the explosion was a “terrible tragedy”. The cause of the blast is yet to be revealed.
