Spotsylvania Brothers Murdered – The Authorities have identified the victims of Saturday’s fatal shooting as Fred Swick, 39, and Joe Swick, 38, both of Spotsylvania and brothers.

It was reported that on late Saturday, a Spotsylvania man identified as Daniel Lee Huffman, 48, slayed the two brothers in the county.

Huffman has been charged for in connection with a double slaying. He is charged with two counts of malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and child endangerment. Although Capt. Liz Scott said she was not sure why the charge of malicious wounding was filed in the case of double slaying, but also said that the charges will likely be upgraded in few days.

The police also reports that Huffman’s 17-year-old son was with him at the time thus the charge of child endangerment.

The police says they are still trying to contact the next of kin of the slain brothers.

After the evil deed, The perpetrator Huffman, made a 911 call on Saturday around 10:15pm, reporting that one of the victims had cut him on his arm before the shooting. Upon arrival, Huffman wound was seen but it wasn’t life threatening and was treated by the rescue team, says Scott.

The two brothers were found in their car in the middle of Fox Run Drive when deputies arrived the scene. They were already dead upon arrival.

A weapon was later found in a pond on Huffman’s property, and this was believed to be the weapon used to kill the brothers.

It is believed that the slaying was as a result of a road-rage accident.

The suspect and the Victims live in the same area but there is no indication that they knew each other before the incident.
