Lake Cumberland Tragedy – Another life has tragically been claimed in the Lake Cumberland on Monday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as a 17-year-old Tyler Grant, from Jamestown who got drowned in the Lake while swimming.
It was reported that Grant, the son of Brian and Teresa Grant was with family and friends and were swimming near the Clifty Creek Boat Ramp on Monday afternoon before he began to struggle in the water. Grant went under as he couldn’t make it to the shore.

The Russell County EMS were called in after 4:00pm and Jamestown Fire Department personnel and the Russell County Search and Rescue squad were dispatched to the scene.
His body was later found in about 55ft under water, says the County Emergency Management Director H. M. Bottom. Coroner Mark Coots.
If the deceased were to be alive, he would have been a SeniorĀ at Russell County High School.
Michael Ford, the School’s Superintendent notified WJRS NEWS that the grief counselors will be around on Tuesday at the school to meet with Students who need to talk.
