Jason was a Finke legend, competing on a bike multiple times. He had a crash or win style – always racing hard – a style that saw him win Bike King of the Desert in the 30th anniversary of Tatts Finke Desert Race in 2005. Jason served Territorians as a Prison Officer and as a Police Officer, excelling in defensive driving training, bringing his Finke talents to our men and women in blue. He also knew the challenges of small business following his passion for bikes and owning Precision Motorcycles in Darwin. I had the privilege of knowing Jason, a very decent man. Passionate about the Territory, loved his family, always keen for a challenge. He will be missed.

Jason was one of the fastest riders I’ve ever seen. His speed at times was world class. I am convinced of that. He did things on a bike that defied what you could do. Watching Jason do a prologue for Finke was so awesome. Watching him ride an old XR250 in Kamfari, that he just traded in was so much fun. Tooting the horn, indicator flashing. He was clearing obstacles that others couldn’t on their expensive bikes! RIP Jason we will miss you.

Thoughts are with Jason’s family at this sad time. Another legend of our Motorsport family lost. RIP Hilly. You will be sadly missed mate

Watched him compete in Alice Springs since he was a 16 yr old.. On his days no one could catch him… Always a thrill to watch his daring skills…RIP to Jason.
