Man Found Shot Dead On 21st Street Newport News – 34-year-old Johntae Livingston as been identified as the man shot dead on 21st street Newport News.
Police say they were notified around 2:25 a.m. for a shooting in the 1200 block of 21st Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who was pronounced deceased on scene by medics. He was identified as 34-year-old Johntae Livingston, of the 800 block of Brighton Lane.
Crews learned on the scene that there was a confrontation between Livingston and another man, during which shots were fired.
According to police, they detained a man on the scene for questioning and they are not currently looking for other suspects. No other details have been released but the investigation is ongoing.
