Dustin E. Kilpack Death – The victim in the fatal crash that occurred on Sunday morning, July 12, near the Wyoming Community of Afton, has been identified by the Wyoming Highway Patrol on Tuesday, July 14, as 27-year-old Dustin E. Kilpack, Lehi, Utah resident.
The police reports that troopers were dispatched at 10:08 a.m on Sunday to the area of milepost 71 on US 89 for a motor vehicle crash.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that: “A 2020 Chevrolet Trax was traveling southbound on US 89 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve to the right. The vehicle exited the left side of the roadway before the driver corrected back to the right causing the vehicle to overturn.”
The driver who has been reported missing on the 6th of July was not wearing seat belt as at the time of the incident. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Kilpack died of his injuries.
The police says “Impairment is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.”
This is recorded as the 47th fatal crash on Wyoming’s roadways in 2020 compared to 87 in 2019, 53 in 2018, and 74 in 2017 to date.
