Graylon Roberts Death | Graylon Roberts Obituary – Graylon Roberts was killed in the crash that happened around 8:07 p.m. Graylon Roberts, 2, was struck and killed by a truck Monday night, 13th of July 2020 in Watford City, N.D., and a woman was injured in a separate crash during the law enforcement response. Graylon’s father, Otis Roberts, 50, Watford City, got into his 2012 Dodge Ram to move his truck in the driveway, according to the release.
The child walked in front of the truck and was struck by the front bumper, knocking him over. The vehicle then ran over the child, who was dragged by the tires for approximately 15 feet. The driver stopped the truck when it was discovered the child was struck. The boy was taken to Mckenzie County Healthcare, where he was pronounced dead, according to report. The crash is still being investigated.
While responding to the incident, a McKenzie County Sheriff’s squad car was involved in a separate accident in which one person was injured. A 2020 Kia Optima driven by Amanda Mitchell, 34, Fargo, entered the intersection with a green light and was struck by Moran’s vehicle on the passenger side. The Kia was pushed into a ditch, causing it to roll once and coming to rest upright, according to the release. Mitchell was taken to a hospital in Watford City, then flown to Trinity Hospital in Minot with serious, life-threatening injuries.
