Gilbert “Gilly” Vasquez and Robert Islas Death | Gilbert “Gilly” Vasquez and Robert Islas Obituary – Gilbert “Gilly” Vasquez and Robert Islas has been identified as the men killed in a double-fatal vehicle crash in Lincoln County Tuesday night, 14th of July 2020. Vasquez, 59, and Islas, 32, were both involved in a crash involving a big-rig near North Platte.

In line with the post made by TheCount on the 15th of July 2020, Vasquez and Islas were traveling in a vehicle on Highway 83 near North Platte, when suddenly, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle than made head-on contact with a semi-truck and burst into flames. The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries. Vasquez and Islas were pronounced dead at the scene.
