“On a personal level, I can only add that in every single encounter that I was privileged to have with him, I came away thinking of him not as a great man, but as a man who had personally encountered a Great Savior.”

Knowing God has been one the most influential books in my life after reading it in college and then multiple times with students and my own children. Thankful to God for the life and ministry of JI Packer. https://t.co/nD5CrValvW

Two books that were instrumental in my life. Knowing God: appreciation for theology and life that backs it up during College. Disciplines of godliness: my appreciation for the puritans and the legacy they left behind. #jipacker pic.twitter.com/zOIKy7hGfO

JI Packer: used mightily to encouage and educate the saints.
I recall reading “Knowing God” in 1988, and telling my wife, “The God of this book is much bigger than I have ever heard in church in my 25 years.”
Packer’s “Concise Theology” might be concise, but it is a gold mine.— Ivan Lambert (@IvanLambert18) July 18, 2020
