31-year-old Michael Dumas was shot to death on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 while standing on the sidewalk with another man in the 700 block of North of Lotus Avenue.
The shooting happened around 2 p.m, by two men who walked up-to them and opened fire on them, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Dumas was fighting for his life at the time officers arrived the crime scene and found him suffering from gunshots wound. He was rushed to Stroger Hospital along with the 52-year-old man who was also hit in the leg.
He was later pronounced dead at the hospital at about 6:30 p.m., according to medical examiners.
