Richmond Death – The police have confirmed the death of one person and four others injured during a shooting near a Richmond McDonald on Monday, July 20, 2020.
Around 6:30 p.m, Officers received a call on the report of a fight in progress and a gun man in the 6800 block of Forest Hill Avenue.

Upon the officers arrival, they found four victims initially, and a short time later a found a fifth victim.
According to police, all of the victims were men and one was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other four were taken to the hospital three of whom are in critical condition and the fourth is stable.
The Third Precinct Commander Marty Harrison said: “Rest assured that we’re gonna have hourly patrol cars in the neighborhood. This is a area where we normally don’t have this type of incident. Most of the crime in this area is theft from vehicles. We haven’t had any commercial robberies or anything like that, so this is a anomaly for us in this area,”
Richmond Police Chief Gerald Smith and Virginia State Police were also on the scene.
Investigation is still ongoing.
