Damn, Stanley Robinson passed away 🙁 If you were a UConn fan in the mid 2000’s, you would remember how athletic he was. One of the highest jumpers I’ve seen. Guy made a difference on a very talented UConn basketball team.

Damn, just turned 32 years old. One of the most electrifying players #UConn ever had on the basketball court. As good of a dunker as I’ve ever seen in college basketball. Most of all always regarded as a great all-around guy.

I’m sad that Stanley Robinson is gone. I went to school at @UConn with him. I’ll never forget him electrifying Gampel with that dunk against No. 1 Texas back in 2010. Proud to say I was there! God speed, Stanley Robinson

Wow. RIP Sticks. Such a great player. In the 2009 Elite 8, we were busy preparing for Hasheem Thabeet and his defense. Stanley Robinson (and a freshman named Kemba Walker) made the biggest difference in the game. Rest easy Stanley.
— Kim English (@Englishscope24) July 22, 2020
Stanley Robinson was one of the funnest guys to watch on those Kemba-era UConn teams.
1/24/10 vs. No. 1 Texas at Gampel: 17 pts & 12 boards on 7-9 shooting in an 88-74 win before a packed, rocking house. Played 35 minutes.

Stanley Robinson spent the first semester of the 2008-09 season working at a scrapyard in Willimantic to prove to Jim Calhoun he had the discipline to be let back on the team. In the second semester he avg 14.8 ppg and 8.4 rpg in the tourney to lead UConn to the 2009 Final Four.

We often talk about what could have happened if Jerome Dyson doesn’t get hurt in 2009. That team doesn’t make the Final Four if Stanley Robinson doesn’t overcome his troubles, work his way back on the team, and step up in a big way after Dyson’s injury. Such a sad day. #RIPSticks

Rest peacefully, Sticks. You brought great joy to UConn fans. My favorite #StanleyRobinson moment: the grimace on Boeheim’s face after your windmill in the 6 OT classic. #GoneTooSoon @UConnMBB
