Inkerman Faragher Death | Obituary – Former Douglas Councillor Inkerman Faragher sadly passed away,  Councillor Faragher was a representative for Douglas Corporation as an Employer’s representative so, therefore, was on ‘the other side’ of the Council. I was Secretary of the Employee’s side at the time.

I think it’s fair to say that Whitley could at times be something of a ‘bear garden’ as the battles to improve terms and conditions were waged. However in this atmosphere both he and the other local authority representatives were always measured, fair, balanced and courteous and often were less dogmatic than their central government colleagues appointed from Tynwald.

We express our sympathy and deepest condolences to Inkerman Faragher’s family today and in the days, weeks, months, and years that are to come as they cope with his passing. May his soul rest in peace.
