Doug Winterton Death | Doug Winterton Obituary – Doug Winterton the Raiders’ past president has passed away. The Prince Albert Raiders announced on Wednesday that former president Doug Winterton died peacefully at 91 years of age, earlier in the week.
According to reports, Winterton held the president’s position from 1979-80, but his involvement with the Raiders goes a lot deeper than that. Winterton was involved with the Raiders right from the get-go, as he was a billet parent in the team’s early days and hosted some big-time players like Brad McCrimmon. He was then the team’s secretary from 1972-79 and later became a charter member on the Raiders’ Booster Club to help raise money for the team.
