Candice Dodson Death – Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear, on Thursday, July 23, confirmed the identity of a person killed in a collision on Indiana 57 on Wednesday morning, July 22, as Evansville educator, Candice Dodson, of Evansville.
In April 2019, Dodson was named executive director of the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA). The national nonprofit organization’s mission is to build and increase the capacity of state and national leaders to improve education through technology policy and practice.

According to the Coroner’s Office, Evansville native and former EVSC teacher died in a traffic collision on Indiana 57 near Evansville Regional Airport.
She died when a sport utility vehicle she was driving and a semi collided near Evansville Regional Airport at about 9:20 a.m. Wednesday.
An autopsy has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday.
A passenger in the vehicle sustained injuries ans was taken to the hospital. The passenger’s condition is said to be unknown.
