Evanston Death – The police have confirmed the death of one man following the early morning shooting in the 300 block of Howard Street. This happened on Thursday July 23, 2020.
According to Evanston police, two men were shot, however one of them died.

“Police responded to calls about a shooting at 1:16 a.m. and found a Black male about 20 years of age laying on the ground near the CTA Red Line Station. Chicago Fire Department Paramedics attempted to treat the victim, but he was deceased,” says Cmdr. Ryan Glew.
The second victim, a 21-year-old man was located in the area by the Chicago Police.
The 21-year-old Evanston resident suffered a graze wound to the head. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was treated and released.
Investigation is ongoing by the detectives and forensics specialists from the Evanston Police Department and NORTAF Major Crimes Task Force. There’s a manhunt for at least one suspect in the case.
Detectives are working to identify the victim and notify his family.
