Steven Richards Death – Authorities have confirmed and release the identity of a man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 155 south of Tremont, on Thursday, July 23, as 48-year-old Steven Richards of Forsyth.
The Illinois State Police reports that the accident occurred about 5 p.m. at about milepost 24, between Illinois Route 9 and Townline Road.

A southbound 2006 white Ford truck veered off the roadway, traveled across the grass median and overturned in northbound traffic, says the Police.
Richards was extricated and was pronounced dead at the scene by Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley.
The I-155 in that area was closed until about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
