Michael Hethmon Death | Michael Hethmon Obituary – Maryland State police say 35-year-old Mark D. Austin has been charged in a fatal two-vehicle crash that happened on Crain Highway in Upper Marlboro in Prince George’s County Saturday, 25th of July 2020. The victims have been identified as 66-year-old Michael Hethmon and a 49-year-old, whose name has not yet be released. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives say Austin was Operating a Ford pickup truck when he failed to stop for a red light The Ford pickup drove into the intersection and struck the victims’ vehicle.
According to reports, the force of the crash caused their car to spin and strike a guardrail. The pickup also rotated, overturned on its roof, and caught fire. Mark initially reported no injuries but later expressed to officials he was feeling discomfort. The preliminary investigation indicates speed, failure to obey a traffic control device and driver impairment were all factors in this crash. Austin is charged with two counts each of motor vehicle manslaughter and criminally negligent manslaughter.
