Jayson Moriarty Death | Jayson Moriarty Obituary – 41 years old Jayson Moriarty died on Saturday, 25th of July 2020 as a result of a shooting in downtown Springfield. Moriarty was pronounced dead at the scene of an Interstate 91 car crash in the northbound lane near the Plainfield Street exit in Springfield. He had been ejected from the car in the 11 p.m. crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Masslive reports, Police determined that in addition to injuries from the crash, Moriarty also had suffered a gunshot wound sometime before the crash. The state medical examiner has determined the death was a homicide. A short time before the I-91 crash, Springfield police were called to the area of 200 Worthington Street for a report of shots fired. Officers found evidence at the scene of gunfire but no victims. Springfield police and Gulluni’s office say it appears Moriarty had been shot on Worthington Street but fled the scene only to crash on the highway.
