Dave Acosta Death

Dave Acosta Death | Obituary – Friends and family mourn Dave Acosta who died in a mountain biking accident.

Long Range shooters of Utah in an Instagram, announced the passing of Acosta who died Thursday afternoon following an accident.

The Instagram statement reads below.

“Devastating news. Our dear friend Dave Acosta @youtactical_nation passed away yesterday afternoon in an accident. Anyone who has met Dave immediately felt his warmth, optimism and enthusiasm. He was a friend to everyone he met and fiercely enthusiastic about life and helping and supporting others. Often providing endless hours of free training and instruction to total strangers. He made it his life’s mission to empower people to be vigilant against evil and be ready and able to protect themselves and others.

“He focused the majority of his work on helping schools and businesses be better prepared to react to active shooters and has done more to protect children in Utah from evil than any politician ever has or will. His loss leaves an immense hole in our community. It’s hard to put into word just how perfect he was for this job and it’s heartbreaking to think that he’ll no longer be on the frontlines helping protect our kids in schools. Dave would want us all to step up, train, and train our brothers and sisters to be positive, wonderful people with a plan, skills and tools to take action against evil if necessary. Dave was an angel on earth, he’s just been called home. We love and miss you buddy.

Your warmth and energy was like no other. RIP Thanks @readygunner for creating the tribute photo. Dave gave his life to service. From being in Law Enforcement, coaching high school football, assisting in the fight against child trafficking, helping women empower themselves and the list goes on. Dave founded YouTactical and Fight Back Nation. Two companies that revolve around helping people get the training they need to defend themselves and their loved ones. He did so much for all of us and it is our time to step up for him. We love you Dave and your legacy will live on. He is survived by his wife Danielle his son Alex, two daughters Courtney and Kenzie and his 4 grand kids.”
