Rene Rachel Death – The identity of the man who was shot to death in Metairie on Sunday, August 2 has been released by the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office as Rene Rachel, 32.
About 6:30 p.m officers were dispatched to the crime scene; a drug store at the intersection of David and Airline drives. Upon their arrival, Rachel was found with gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, says the police.

Although its not clear how Rachel got to the drug store but its believed he was actually shot in the 500 block of North Elm Street, about eight blocks away from the store, says the detectives.
According to the Chief Death Investigator Mark Bone, Rachel was shot to the chest. He died of his injuries
So far no one has been arrested and investigation continues.
