West Whitney Pool Death – The LMPD have confirmed the death of a toddler who drowned in a pool on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley reports that officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a 911 call on a toddler found in a pool approximately 7:20 Saturday night from the 100 block of West Whitney.

The streets were blocked to clear a path to Norton Children’s Hospital to revive the toddler but was unfortunately pronounced dead after their arrival.
The LMPD’s Homicide Unit is handling the investigation of the toddler’s death.
